Getting Started
Daisy can seem a bit daunting at first, so it is recommended that you follow through this simple introduction to the program.

Daisy has an extensive Help system.
Look at the index, investigate the toolbar, print a couple of pages, search for something like 'aggregation' and generally get used to navigating between the various subjects and topics.
Daisy has an extensive set of Training Notes.
You can also change the spelling from English to American and vice-versa in the Help Configure command in the Help menu.
By default English will be used. Those who prefer American should go to the Help Configure command.
Daisy is installed with several simple (and not-so-simple) examples.
Look at a selection of these so that you can see what a typical Daisy Chart looks like, how it can be investigated by the use of the mouse and how underlying records, nodes and links can be displayed and printed.
The various terms used to describe a Daisy Chart and how it is calculated, such as nodes, links, legend, mapping and aggregation should be understood.
