One of the biggest problems with name and address databases is that very often, they have been entered using a variety sources and formats. To compound matters, some staff are not as conscientitious as others, and spelling and other mistakes have been allowed to proliferate.

Daisy 4D has been designed to take such a database and format the names and addresses, so that they fall into a consistent standard, that is acceptable to the appropriate Post Office.

A specialist command in the program formats addresses and phone numbers more or less automatically, after the name and address fields and columns have been assigned.

The distance between an address and the assigned phone number can also be calculated. This is a powerful indicator that shows if the link between the two values is tenuous, a mistake or perhaps a deliberate fraud.

A profile supplied with Daisy 4D has been defined which can be used to check and format a name and address database.
