Daisy 4D has been designed as a general purpose analyser for databases. It is one of the family of Daisy Analysers.

The main application of Daisy 4D is to open any database as a fully-functional grid or spreadsheet and then investigate, analyse, print and publish it in several ways. The process is fast, intuitive and does not change the original database in any way.

Other applications include :-

Loading a database and using a Daisy chart to show links and correlations in the data.
Auditing databases.
Checking UK post codes, worldwide phone numbers and querying web and E-Mail addresses.
De-Duplicating databases.
Sending E-Mails and text messages to all or selected records in a name and address database.
E-Mailing a database.
Formatting addresses and phone numbers.
Summarising databases.
Printing all or part of a database.
Publishing databases to the Internet.

Several or all of these can be combined into full database processing systems. An example of this is the Billing System for a telecoms operator, which has been created from Daisy 4D.
