An unlock field or column is used to allow the database to be edited.

Unless this field/column has been added to the database, no data can be changed or edited.

Three values of the unlock field are allowed :-

• Right - This allows all fields or columns to the right of the unlock field to be edited.
• None - Nothing can be changed.
• All - All values can be edited.
