Check Phone Number

Check that the phone number corresponds to the post code.

The check for the phone number decodes it into an exchange name and a grid reference.

If Postcode Anywhere is installed then the distance between the phone number and the post code can be calculated.

Draw a Map

Always draw a map of where the individual lives or the company is located.

This will tell you whether the location is in the centre of a town, in a leafy suburb or in a very rural location. This alone gives you several questions you can ask, if you are unsure as to who or what you are dealing with!

Search for the Post Code

Always do this!

Especially, if you are thinking of buying a property! One estate agent found that a house was not selling because a rather unsavoury individual lived a couple of doors away on the same post code!

UK post codes are unique in that they are a mixture of letters and numbers, such as CB8 9LU, which is the post code for Daisy Analysis.
