Call Detail Records (CDRs), containing the call information, would be delivered to Daisy TMS either over the Internet or a local network. Delivery by CD-Rom is also possible, but would be unlikely to be workable for all but the smallest systems.

CDRs are translated into a standard text-based format, that contains the date, time, number called, duration, charge tariff and actual charge and all the other data that can be discerned from the input CDR.

More details on CDRs are given in the main Daisy Phone Analyser Web Site.

Daisy TMS uses a common intermediate file approach, which means that for each new type of CDR, there is only the need to create a new translation program or process, before the system is fully functional.

Daisy TMS can either calculate the actual charge from information in the CDR or from a tariff table held locally in the system.

Optionally, CDRs for systems based on a Callback and/or Callthrough basis can be accounted on a session rather than a call basis. This gives the advantage of smaller files and hence detailed invoices use less paper. The downside is that the individual call details are lost, so no check can be made by the customer on the numbers called.

CDRs can be processed on a daily, weekly or monthly basis.
