Microsoft Outlook is used by the Zip Mailer to actually send the E-Mail.
The reason for this is that this program is almost a 'de-facto' standard and large numbers of users actually use it for their E-Mail communication. So it was decided to make this the standard way of sending. Other methods would have required a much more complex program, that would have been compromised by such things as ISP's, fire-walls and DP managers, who don't like non-standard E-Mail programs. (We don't like them either!) If you need to use the Zip Mailer with other E-Mail programs, then please contact Daisy Analysis. One point to note is that Outlook XP has extra security features that mean you will have to answer a question from that program before sending an E-Mail.
