Vodafone is a major supplier of mobile telephone services in the UK.
Visit Vodafone's Web Site!
Vodafone have not designed their bills for downloading, so they must be clipped from their web site. They also are paged unlike BT's, which are still the standard to judge phone companies.
Default Profile
The default profiles for Vodafone are named as follows :-
- Vodafone_UK_Bill - Reads past UK bills.
- Vodafone_UK_Current - Reads current UK bill.
When processing Call detail record files or CDRs from Vodafone always start with the requisite profile open.
Obtaining CDRs
CDRs are easily obtained from Vodafone's web site.
The procedure is as follows :-
- Register with Vodafone on their web site.
- Login using the username and password.
- Click on 'View Your Bills' and then view the records.
Note that formats are slightly different between the current bill and ones for past months. Choose an appropriate profile.
- Select all the individual call records with the mouse and use Control-C to copy them to the clipboard.
- These are then clipped, decoded and saved using the Clip button in the program.
As Vodafone use pages you will need to select each page in turn with the clipboad and then concatenate them using Clip.
CDR Format
The CDRs contain the following fields :-
- Date - The date on which the call was made.
- Time - The time when it was made.
- Called No - The number called.
- Duration - The duration of the call.
- Cost - The cost of the call in £.p to a tenth of a penny.
- Called From - The country where the call was made.
Note that Called From is not shown directly in past bills.
