Call detail record files or CDRs are usually obtained from your phone company by downloading from the Internet.
Taking BT as an example, you first register on their site and then after a few days you can download the CDRs as either .csv or .zip files.
Note :-
- We recommend the use of the .zip files as these can easily be manipulated and unzipped using a simple program like WinZip.
- If you are using Windows XP, then these are unpacked by the operating system.
- The file names are very complicated in many cases, so use the Rename in the Phone Analyser to make them something more understandable.
- Sometimes as with O2 for example, the CDRs will have to be clipped from the phone company's web site using the clipboard.
