Previous   Next   Help   Print   Daisy 2003

It is recommended that you visit the new Daisy 2003 Web Site and look at Link to Excel.

The standard Daisy Grids can also be displayed using Microsoft Excel.

There are a lot of advantages in this technique and it can be recommended for many applications of Daisy.

  1. Daisy has a limit of only nine grids and this can be a nuisance with large and complicated analyses. Excel has a much higher limit.

  2. Excel is completely independent of Daisy and thus can be used to save the exported data in appropriate workbooks as it is created. Data can also be easily cut and pasted from worksheet to worksheet to accumulate data how it is required.

  3. Excel can of course be used to further process, display and print the data. Note that Daisy always exports the data, so that it can be printed immediately without any further formatting from Excel.

  4. But the major advantage is often one of knowledge. You have probably used Excel for some years and know exactly how to perform a calculation or draw a graph. Once you obtain the data!

    And that's what Daisy does!

  5. A lot of users now use a combination of Daisy and Excel, to split and distribute large databases, that are being mined for fraud, inaccuracies and other problems.

Daisy breaks the database into small Excel workbooks, which can then be transferred or E-Mailed to the person responsible for the data for further investigation and action.
