Daisy Analysis Overview - Statistics and Histograms

Back

It is recommended that you visit the new Daisy 2003 Web Site and look at Aggregation and Histograms.

Daisy is also a qualitative statistical program, that can process, summarise and display, any numeric, date and time fields in a database.

Consider the simple Daisy Chart used as an example, which shows a simple aggregation and displayed histograms.

The two histograms on each node, show the Number of Records (green) and the Number of E-Mails Received (mauve). These are just simple summations or totals and are just one of many different functions that can be applied.

The five main arithmetic functions for numeric values; total, average, largest, smallest and median, are self-explanatory. Numerics can also be counted as to validity, whether they are in a particular range or not, and they can also be used in simple arithmetic calculations.

Similar flexibility applies to date and time fields.
